As anyone whose been visiting this blog regularly might have noticed, there's been a dropoff on uploads of my daily warmup sketches on Drawbridge. That's in large part because I've been trying to ramp it up on my current graphic novel project, Marathon. The book is written by Boaz Yakin and tells the story of the first Greco-Persian war at Marathon. Above you'll see one of the very first inked pages from the book.

Daily Warmup Sketch: J.M. DeMatteis' Moonshadow
Today's sketches on Drawbridge are dedicated to the works of J.M. DeMatteis. J.M. consistently writes imaginative, positive and affirming comics. He is truly one of comics' brightest stars. Now perhaps a reader of this blog post might feel that there's a disconnect with the above image of a furry man in drag. There isn't. Ira is from Moonshadow, a glorious piece of comics literature that everyone should read.
