Dumbo Digital Arts Summit Wrapup
I had a blast reading Vs. at this past weekend's Dumbo Digital Arts Summit. Thanks to the efforts of Jeff Newelt and Noah Norman the presentation went off largely without a hitch. Here are some of Seth Kushner's amazing photos to document my presentation.
Daily Warmup Sketch: At-Choo!
Today's theme, "At-Choo" was picked by Tim Hamilton. For more sketches visit Drawbridge.
Tomorrow! Dumbo Arts Festival!
Tomorrow at 5pm I'll be appearing at the Dumbo Arts Fest Digital Summit Double Feature. After a scintillating talk by Douglas Rushkoff, the Act-i-vate crew will storm the stage to do semi-theatrical readings of their comics. On the bill are Dean Haspiel, Simon Fraser, Seth Kushner with Carlos 'Mare139' Rodriguez, Jeff Newelt and myself. I'll be reading my short story written with Alexis Sottile, Vs.
Afterwards there will be a party and wine tasting at Brooklyn Oenology of the 2009 Riesling, Friend, featuring label art by Jen Ferguson.
All around it promises to be great way to close out your weekend festivities. I hope to see you there!
Daily Warmup Sketch: High Moon!
Today's warmup sketch was called by Simon Fraser and it's in honor of former Hypothetical Island member, Steve Ellis', leaving NYC. Go check out the rest of the themed sketches at the Drawbridge Sketchblog.
Daily Warmup Sketch: The Life Aquatic with Bill Murray!
Today's theme called by George O'Connor is "The Life Aquatic". That could mean any form of marine life real or imagined or any reference to the film by the same name. And so, here's my rendition of Bill Murray as Steve Zizou. Enjoy! For more warmup sketches, go here.
Daily Warmup Sketch: Wildstorm
So in honor of Wildstorm's passing this week, the folks at DrawBridge have all drawn characters from that imprint. Here's mine, Tom Strong.
